The BT60 internal 5/16" motor retainer is used for both minimum diameter rockets as well as general motor retention for any rocket motor that has an Aerotech forward closure with a 5/16 threaded end.
The retainer is held in place with three 4-40 flat or pan head machine screws around the perimeter. A shock cord tie plate is included which can be attached to the top of the retainer to tie into the recovery system. A user can also choose to use a flat washer, lock washer, and an eye nut that screws onto the 5/16 all-thread that can be cut to protrude above the retainer.
The retainer also features insets where a 4-40 or 6-63 machine screw nut (one of each included in kit) can be placed to supply a mounting point for a Mini Rail guide, 1010 Rail guide, or other device.
